Punta Gorda is on its way back! Soon it will once again be an absolute Paradise… a beautiful waterfront community; a fisherman’s dream come true; our place with tropical breezes, star-filled nights and wonderful caring, sharing folks like you.
One of the best things about Punta Gorda is that it’s a very social place with an active citizenry that wants to preserve the unique character of the town. That is one of the reasons TEAM Punta Gorda exists.
TEAM Punta Gorda volunteers continue to work hard to help the City and County bring the vision of the Citizens’ Master Plan 2005 to reality. We also collaborate with other non-profit groups to help support their goals.
Our membership rolls have increased to over 1900, and though we do not charge membership dues, we have ongoing expenses to pay which is why we invite your contributions.
For instance in 2007, we had architectural consulting fees for our suggested modifications to the Event Center design. We completed two massive beautification projects at Herald Court and the pocket park at Taylor and Olympia. We continue to support a portion of Enterprise Punta Gorda’s operational overhead, as well as all of our own.
TEAM Punta Gorda is staffed by unpaid volunteers who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to many local projects and activities that support the principles of the Citizens’ Master Plan. Transportation, waterfront, communications, environment, grant resources, architecture, construction, marketing, academia, housing… you name it! TEAM’s volunteers have the talent to support it.
Your support is important. Please don’t feel restricted in what you think TEAM’s work is worth to you in preserving our little jewel by the water. Remember, your contribution is tax deductible.
