MISSION

The mission of TEAM Punta Gorda is to serve as a collaborative resource uniting our citizens in accelerating revitalization to achieve the potential of our unique waterfront community.
 

GOALS

1. Provide a centralized source of expertise in preserving, rebuilding and revitalizing the greater Punta Gorda community.

2. Develop and maintain an informed community base of support for Citizens Master Plan 2005.

3. Collaborate with federal, state, county, and local political leaders to engender their support for restoration, rebuilding and revitalization of the greater Punta Gorda community.

4. Develop and implement strategies to ensure implementation of Citizens Master Plan 2005.
 

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

1. Create a Citizens Master Plan Resource Center to recruit and provide technical support to government, restorers, developers and builders working in the area to ensure their conservation or construction meets Citizen Master Plan concepts.

2. Develop and implement a communication strategy that will inform and mobilize TEAM members to implement the Citizens Master Plan.

3. Create on-going public education programs to inform the community and community leaders of Citizens Master Plan concepts.

4. Develop and implement an on-going funding program to support TEAM Punta Gorda activities and to support specific restoration, rebuilding, and revitalization projects.

5. Implement small but immediate demonstration projects in support of Citizens Master Plan 2005 to demonstrate to the community what can be accomplished.

6. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the governance of TEAM activities that will ensure the strategic plan is implemented.
